Celebrated our son’s birthday at the Antique Bar & Bakery!
Loved the atmosphere!!
The menu reads like a movie script!
There’s movies playing on the walls— circa the 1960’s with scenes of Hoboken.
Our Server Jack was AWESOME!
He knew the drink and food menu well.
Appreciated his recommendations!
We made reservations and we were seated while we waited for my daughter and boyfriend.
Enjoyed cocktails!
Once we were all there!, Jack informed us! We need to place the entire order- appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts!
He gave us plenty of time to look over menu!
Appetizers were delicious!
The meat special was served with sides.
The short rib was served over mashed potatoes with a spicy kick.
The rest of entrees, you needed to order sides.
We ordered way too many sides!
The carrots were my favorite side!
I absolutely love bread pudding!
This bread pudding was top notch! Loved it!!!
From the presentation to the taste!
And you can order the bread pudding online with goldbelly!
We got our check inside a book!
Clever!!!
Suggest you make reservations!
Plan ahead, always traffic to get to Hoboken and you have to find metered street parking.
You have to feed the meter until 9pm.
Noticed on Sundays they serve brunch!
Thank you for a
wonderful night with family celebrating our son’s birthday!
Looking forward to returning!
Everything was spectacular from the ambience to the service it really does not get better! Our server was amazing and was training another guy who you could already tell was going to be just as great, both teachers aside from serving so hopefully someone passes these reviews there way so they know they were appreciated! The drinks were sooo good I got the hocus pocus and it was just the right amount of sweet. All the food was great I got the pancake skillet and my boyfriend had the birria burger both I wish I could eat 1000 times again we will definitely be back!!
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that’s looking for a nice date or night out for drinks and food. They have a great atmosphere and rustic look. The food has a large variety of selections. I would say the style of food is “Italian American” and has vegetarian options. We ordered the rice balls, mussels, hanger steak, rigatoni, and of course the bread pudding. All selections were great!
We had a wonderful dining experience at Antique Bar and Bakery. Every thing we tasted was wonderful but the best part of the night was the wonderful service. Jessica our waitress was top notch. Very attentive and accommodating. Jesus our bus boy was great too! As for food everything was great. You must have the bread pudding. It’s probably one of the best desserts I have ever had.
The food was all so good! A bit pricey but it’s worth it, especially the short rib and the rigatoni. And how could I forget the bread pudding dessert. WOW!
Awesome flavors and a nice and cozy old-school vibe. One of the oldest brick ovens in the entire country, right here in Hoboken. Steve our server was very nice and patient with our group that had never dined there before and didn’t know what we wanted. My in-laws wouldn’t even look at the menu bc they “can’t read it in the low light” LOL. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.
Was looking forward to trying the food out at antique tonight with my girlfriend for her birthday. We made reservation for 9 pm and were seated at 9:20pm. In addition, it took an extra 20 minutes before anyone even noticed us and took our order. By the the time we ordered we did not receive our silverware until 5 minutes after getting our first dish. Overall we were heavily disappointed and just wanted to get out due to poor service and skipped on a lot of dishes that we wanted to try such as the bread pudding and 16oz prime rib. In addition we asked for beverages that we never received and had to ask several times to get the check. Everything aside, the food was pretty good. We ordered the shortrib with yukon mashed potatoes, mexican style cauliflower, and mac and cheese. Honestly, the mac and cheese was phenomenal, just wished service was better.
Edit: We tried Antique out a second time and this time service was much much better. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable regarding the history of the restaurant and was very attentive with our beverages. This time we got to try the squash carbonara, burger, meatballs, and bread pudding, all of which were great. Still thinking of the carbonara right now as I write this review.
Make a reservation before going. It's a cute little restaurant and we went for brunch. The birria burger was very good and the fries were cooked perfectly but could have used a little salt. The rice balls were delicious. I got the sausage in vodka sauce which tasted even better as leftovers when the pasta had time to soak up the sauce.
An incredible spot in Hoboken. We have been twice for dinner and once for brunch, and you will never be disappointed by the food here. My favorites at dinner are the rice balls and spaghetti squash carbonara apps. You can’t not get the bread pudding if you’ve never had it. For our first time at brunch we tried the birria burger and skillet pancake, it was the perfect amount of food for two. Server made great suggestions for mock tails, which was appreciated.
